High‑Temp Asbestos Gasket Sheet (HT-CAF) is a hot-pressed, compressed asbestos fiber jointing material engineered for sustained service at elevated temperatures. Designed for steam systems, boilers, heat exchangers and other heavy-duty industrial equipment, HT-CAF combines asbestos fiber strength with elastomeric binders to maintain sealability under high temperature and fluctuating flange loads. What it is made of

HT-CAF is manufactured from long-fiber chrysotile asbestos blended with a heat-resistant binder and compressed under heat and pressure to a dense jointing sheet. Variants may include graphite coating or wire mesh insertion for improved machinability and mechanical strength.

  • Service media: saturated & superheated steam, hot water, oils and many hydrocarbon services (chemical compatibility must be checked for strong oxidizers and aggressive acids).

Note: maximum temperature and pressure are application-dependent and must not be assumed concurrently (i.e., higher temperature may reduce allowable pressure). Always request grade datasheet and perform flange/bolt calculations for critical services.
