💡 Mica Shield Protection
For steam service above 35 bar and for media with high pH value, transparent gauge glass must be protected by a mica shield on the side facing the medium chamber. Mica shields significantly extend the service life of sight glasses in high-pressure and high-temperature steam applications. They are mandatory where steam pressure exceeds 40 bar and temperature exceeds 200°C.

Why Choose Our Transparent Gauge Glass
Precision-engineered transparent glass delivering superior optical clarity, mechanical strength, and reliable performance in demanding industrial applications.
Direct, Unobstructed View
Clear and smooth on both sides, providing an unobstructed view of the liquid level while enabling inspection of fluid colour, viscosity, and interface between two liquids.
Mica Shield Protection
For steam service above 35 bar and media with high pH, transparent glass can be protected by a mica shield on the medium-facing side, significantly extending service life in high-pressure steam applications.
High Temperature Performance
Withstands continuous temperatures up to 400°C for non-steam applications. The glass maintains structural integrity and optical clarity under thermal cycling.
Excellent Chemical Resistance
Acid class 1 and alkali class 2 per DIN standards. Resistant to most industrial chemicals, acids, and alkalis. Ideal for contaminated, viscous, or corrosive media.
Precision Polished Surfaces
Both sides finely ground and polished for optimal transparency. Parallelism tolerance ≤ 0.13mm for standard level gauge glasses, ensuring reliable optical performance.
International Standards
Manufactured to DIN 7081, BS 3463, JIS B 8211, MIL-G-16356D, and Ö-Norm M 7354. Complete traceability and material certifications available.
