UHMWPE Wear Pads are machined from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet, rod, or profile. Also supplied as UHMWPE wear strips, UHMW wear pads, or virgin UHMW polyethylene wear components. We machine parts up to 2000 mm × 1000 mm × 100 mm. Standard tolerance is ±0.10 mm. Tighter tolerances down to ±0.05 mm can be quoted. Standard surface finish is Ra 1.6 µm. Natural (white), black, and green (FDA) colours are available. Continuous operating temperature is -200 °C to 80 °C.

Key Performance Data

  • Static friction coefficient 0.10–0.15 against polished steel. UHMWPE wear pads eliminate stick-slip at low speeds.
  • Abrasion resistance (sand-slurry test per ASTM G65): volume loss ≤80 mm³. Outlasts nylon 6 by 2–3× in sliding wear against abrasive materials.
  • Water absorption <0.01%. No swelling in fresh or salt water. Dimensional change in 100% humidity is less than 0.1%.
  • Notch-free impact strength. Remains ductile at -200 °C. Does not crack under hammer impact.
  • FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 compliant grades available for food contact.
  • UV-stabilized black grades available. Tensile strength retention after 5000 h QUV: >90%.

Packaging & Container Loading

  • Each pad wrapped in PE foam or VCI paper → PE bag → corrugated box.
  • Boxes stacked on ISPM 15 heat-treated fumigated pallet (1.1 m × 1.1 m).
  • Maximum pallet gross weight: 800 kg.
  • 20GP container: approx. 10 pallets; 40HQ: approx. 20 pallets.

Quality Control

  • Incoming inspection: UHMWPE sheet and rod density and molecular weight verified per batch.
  • In-process: first-article inspection (FAI) with CMM on critical dimensions. Thickness and flatness checked every 50 pcs.
  • Batch traceability: unique lot number marked on each part or package. Traceable to material batch and machining date.
