What is EPDM Rubber Sheet?

Material overview
EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) is a saturated-backbone synthetic rubber formulated for superior resistance to ozone, UV, weathering and steam. It remains flexible at cold temperatures and performs reliably in outdoor and hot-water environments.

EPDM Rubber Sheet (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) is a durable, weather-resistant elastomeric sheeting ideal for outdoor gaskets, roofing seals, steam washers and potable-water applications. Available in a range of durometers and food-grade / NSF / FDA options, our EPDM sheets resist ozone, UV, steam and hot water while remaining flexible at low temperatures — designed for long service life in harsh environments.

Typical supply forms
Sheets, rolls and cut-to-size panels; available in black (standard) and white/food-grade variants for hygienic use.

Key technical highlights

  • Temperature & service range: typical continuous service up to +150°C (302°F) and down to -40°C to -50°C depending on grade.

  • Outstanding ozone/UV & weather resistance — preferred for roofing, exterior seals and outdoor gasketing.

  • Excellent steam & hot water resistance — widely used in steam washers and kettle seals.

  • Poor resistance to petroleum fuels & many hydrocarbons — choose NBR/Viton for fuel exposure.

  • Food-grade / potable-water grades available (FDA/NSF/WRAS options) for hygienic applications.

epdm rubber sheetWhy choose our EPDM sheets?

  • Long outdoor lifetime — proven resistance to ozone, sunlight and weathering reduces replacement cycles.

  • Stable under steam/hot water — ideal for steam traps, boilers and hot-water sealing.

  • Flexible at low temperature — reduced cracking or brittle failure in cold climates.

  • Multiple compliance grades — FDA / NSF / potable water grades available for food & beverage or municipal applications.

  • Custom services — die-cut gaskets, CNC, bonded fabric backing, laminated or reinforced sheets.

Common applications

  • Roofing membranes, flashings, and weather seals.

  • HVAC gasketing, electrical enclosure seals and window channels.

  • Steam washers, boiler seals, hot-water gaskets and sanitary valves.

  • Potable water seals, food processing gaskets (use certified grades).

FAQ

Q: What is your MOQ (minimum order quantity)?
A: Stock EPDM sheets can be ordered from 1 sheet or 1 roll. Custom compounds, white food-grade batches or laminated products may have MOQs (typical example: 100–500 kg); confirm at quote. (Replace with your company policy.)

Q: How long is lead time?
A: Stock items & samples: 3–7 business days. Custom compounds, color or laminated runs: 2–4 weeks. Expedited sample service (24–72h) available for qualifying customers.

Q: How do you ship samples and bulk orders?
A: Samples: DHL/UPS/FedEx. Bulk: palletized by road, LCL or FCL. Export documentation provided (COO, commercial invoice, packing list). FOB / CIF / EXW available on request.

Q: Do you supply food-grade / potable water EPDM?
A: Yes — we offer EPDM compounds meeting FDA 21 CFR and NSF/WRAS standards where required; certificates provided per batch.

Q: Can you die-cut gaskets or supply bonded/laminated sheets?
A: Yes — die-cut, CNC, waterjet, bonded fabric backings and custom laminates available. Upload CAD/DXF for quoting.

Q: What chemicals damage EPDM?
A: EPDM is poor against most petroleum oils, gasoline, and hydrocarbon solvents — for those use NBR or FKM. For other chemicals consult the chemical compatibility chart or our engineers.

Q: How should EPDM sheets be stored?
A: Store flat, in a cool dry area, away from direct sunlight, ozone generators and petrol fumes. Keep original packaging sealed.

Q: Can you provide test reports with orders?
A: Yes — TDS and MSDS are standard; tensile, compression set and additional third-party reports available on request (extra cost/time may apply).
