Ceramic Fiber Tape is a woven tape produced from ceramic fiber yarn (alumina-silicate). This ceramic fiber cloth tape, also known as high temperature tape or ceramic tape, is designed for thermal seals, gaskets, and wrap insulation. Continuous operating temperature is 1260 °C. Standard reinforcement is glass fiber filament. Stainless steel wire reinforcement is available on request. Standard thicknesses are 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, and 3.0 mm. Standard widths range from 25 mm to 150 mm.

Key Performance Data

  • Continuous rating 1260 °C. Ceramic tape retains dimensional stability through repeated thermal cycles.
  • After a 24 h burn-out at 800 °C, the organic binder is removed and the glass fiber filament may embrittle. The ceramic fiber cloth tape remains intact as insulation. Stainless steel wire reinforcement limits long-term exposure to 800 °C due to oxidation.
  • Thermal conductivity of 0.13 W/m·K at 400 °C for 1.5 mm tape.
  • Non-combustible after binder burn-out. Meets ISO 1182.
  • Good resistance to acids (except HF and hot phosphoric acid) and alkalis (except concentrated hot NaOH).

Packaging & Container Loading

  • Roll length: 30 m standard (25 m and 50 m on request).
  • Each roll wrapped in PE film → packed in 5‑ply corrugated box.
  • Boxes stacked on ISPM 15 heat-treated fumigated pallet (1.1 m × 1.1 m).
  • Maximum pallet gross weight: 800 kg.
  • 20GP container: approx. 10 pallets, net weight approx. 7–8 metric tons.

Quality Control

  • Incoming inspection: ceramic fiber blanket density and shot content checked per batch.
  • In‑line monitoring: thread count (warp/weft) verified every 100 m via camera system.
