Key Performance Notes
-
Low friction coefficient (µ 0.04–0.08). Reduces shaft/sleeve wear. No abrasive filler; graphite functions as solid lubricant.
-
Chemical compatibility. Resists almost all media across pH 0–14. Three critical exceptions: molten alkali metals, fuming nitric acid, and elemental fluorine — contact will rapidly destroy the PTFE matrix.
-
Low thermal conductivity. The material conducts heat poorly. A controlled leak rate of 10–20 drops per minute, or an external flush, is required to carry friction heat away from the stuffing box.
-
Cold flow tendency. PTFE cold-flows under sustained gland load. Gland follower must not be over-tightened. Follow the step-by-step PTFE Packing Installation Guide (PDF) for torque values and compression limits.
-
Shelf life. No aging or cure date limit. PTFE/graphite packing does not harden, oxidize, or degrade during storage.
Certifications & Compliance
-
ISO 9001:2015 – Quality management system, certified by Beijing United Intelligence Certification Co., Ltd..
-
RoHS 2011/65/EU – Lead, mercury, cadmium, Cr(VI), PBBs, PBDEs below threshold limits.
-
Third-party test reports (friction, chemical resistance, composition) – available on request.
Customization & Private Label (OEM/ODM)
| Custom option | MOQ | Sample lead time | Sample cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Non-standard size (e.g., 5.8 mm, 12.7 mm) | 30 kg per size | 3–10 working days | Charged; refunded with first mass order |
| Tailor-made specification (density, graphite content) | 50 kg | 5–15 working days | Charged |
| Custom packaging (private-label spool, box) | 100 kg | 3 working days for layout approval | No extra tooling charge |
Packaging & Container Loading
-
Primary: Packing wound on a spool, sealed in PE bag.
-
Secondary: Spools placed in corrugated carton. Standard carton weight: 10 kg or 25 kg net.
-
Tertiary: Cartons strapped on fumigated ISPM 15 heat-treated wooden pallet.
-
Pallet dimensions: 1100×1100 mm or 1200×1000 mm as required.
Quality Control
-
Incoming PTFE yarn inspection (linear density, graphite content, twist).
-
In-line braiding density monitoring with automatic optical checks.
-
Batch traceability: every spool carries a unique lot number linked to raw material, production date, and in-process data.
Lead Time & Shipping
-
Orders under 500 kg: 7–15 working days after order confirmation.
-
Full container loads (FCL): lead time confirmed upon PO review; typical 15–20 working days.
-
Trade term: FOB Shanghai (Incoterms 2020). EXW, CIF available on request.
