Customization: Made to Order

UHMWPE Chain Guide Rail is machined from 100% virgin ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet or profile. Also supplied as UHMWPE chain guide or UHMWPE guide rail. We CNC machine straight sections, curved guides, and complex profiles up to 4000 mm in length. Standard cut tolerance is ±0.3 mm. Countersunk mounting holes, dovetail slots, and T‑slot base profiles are standard options. Natural (white), black, and green colours are stocked. Continuous operating temperature is -200 °C to 80 °C.

Applications

  • Bottling and packaging conveyor chain guides
  • Food processing belt and chain wear strips
  • Automotive assembly line guide rails
  • Material handling chain wear shoes
  • Chemical washdown conveyor rails
  • Beverage filling line chain guides

Key Performance Data

  • Static friction coefficient 0.10–0.15 against steel. A UHMWPE chain guide eliminates stick‑slip and reduces drive motor load by up to 30 % compared to nylon guides.
  • Sand‑slurry abrasion loss (ASTM G65) ≤80 mm³. Outlasts nylon 6 by 2–3× in sliding wear against stainless‑steel chains.
  • Water absorption <0.01%. A UHMWPE guide rail holds dimensions in washdown and CIP environments. No swelling after 12 months in water.
  • Impact strength remains ductile at -200 °C. Survives freezer‑line chain impacts without cracking.
  • FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 compliant. Natural and green grades are suitable for direct food contact.

Certifications & Compliance

  • ISO 9001:2015 — certified quality management system.
  • RoHS (Directive 2011/65/EU) — compliant.
  • FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 — compliant natural and green grades.
  • Third‑party test reports for friction coefficient, abrasion loss, and tensile strength available upon request.
