Dust free asbestos cloth is a high-temperature resistant industrial fabric made from selected asbestos fibers with reduced surface dust. It offers excellent thermal insulation, heat resistance, and sealing performance, making it suitable for insulation wrapping, fire protection, and other demanding industrial applications. Its stable structure helps improve handling and reduce fiber dispersion during use.
Woven from Grade 5 chrysotile asbestos fiber. A polymer-modified anti-dust coating is applied to both surfaces. The coating reduces airborne fiber release during cutting, handling, and installation. This cloth contains chrysotile asbestos. Local exposure limits must be observed. Use proper PPE.
Applications
- Thermal insulation blankets and removable pads
- Welding curtains and spark shields
- Furnace door seals and expansion joints
- Exhaust manifold and pipe wrapping
- Foundry covers and gaskets

Key Performance Data
- Dust suppression efficiency >90 % vs. untreated cloth — tested by internal abrasion rig at 200 cycles.
- No melting below 1200 °C. Tensile strength remains above 400 N/50 mm after 48 hours at 450 °C.
- Resists mineral acids (except HF), alkalis, and organic solvents.
- Surface resistivity >10¹⁰ Ω (dry, 23 °C).
Certifications & Compliance
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality management system, certified by SGS.
- RoHS (2011/65/EU) — Compliant for non-electrical thermal insulation articles.
- Third-party test reports available upon request. Reports cover chrysotile fiber identification, tensile, LOI, and dust emission.
