Nylon Spur Gears — also referred to as plastic spur gears or nylon gear wheels — are supplied as machined or injection-molded gears from PA6, PA66, or cast PA6G. Standard modules range from 0.5 to 4. Pressure angle is 20°. Tooth counts run from 12 to 120. Standard bore tolerance is H7. Continuous service temperature is -30 °C to 110 °C for PA66 and -40 °C to 90 °C for PA6G.

Applications

  • Office automation and paper feed mechanisms
  • Electric actuators and power window drives
  • Food processing and packaging machines
  • Medical pump and laboratory instrument drives
  • Textile and printing machinery
  • Low-load automotive timing and sensor drives

Key Performance Data

  • Noise reduction of 6–8 dB compared to steel spur gears under identical load and speed (measured at 1 m, 1200 rpm).
  • Self-lubricating grade (PA6G) delivers wear rate below 3×10⁻⁶ mm³/N·m at 1 m/s sliding velocity against hardened steel.
  • Glass-filled PA66 (GF30) tensile strength reaches 190 MPa. Gear tooth bending stress capacity above 50 MPa at 10⁷ cycles.
  • Corrosion-free after 500 hours salt spray per ASTM B117.
  • Weight reduced by 80 % versus steel gear of identical dimensions.

Certifications & Compliance

  • ISO 9001:2015 — certified quality management system.
  • RoHS (Directive 2011/65/EU) — compliant.
  • FDA 21 CFR 177.1500 — natural PA6/PA66 grades available for food equipment.
  • Third-party test reports for tooth bending fatigue, wear rate, and material tensile available upon request.

Packaging & Container Loading

  • Each gear packed in PE bag → corrugated box with dividers.
  • Boxes stacked on ISPM 15 heat-treated fumigated pallet (1.1 m × 1.1 m).
  • Maximum pallet gross weight: 800 kg.
  • 20GP container: approx. 10 pallets; 40HQ: approx. 20 pallets.

Quality Control

  • Incoming inspection: raw material tensile strength and density verified per batch.
  • In‑line monitoring: tooth profile and pitch checked on 1st-off piece with gear tester. Bore diameter and face width measured on 5% of pieces per shift.
  • Batch traceability: each box marked with unique lot number linked to raw material lot and production date.
